CHI Recovery to Host First of it’s Kind Conference in Sonoma County

CHI Recovery presents this important one-day conference to addiction treatment professionals and community support associates, introducing current practices in the field of Substance Abuse Disorder.

Premier Sonoma County Conference Detailing Findings and Recommendations for Substance Abuse Professionals

This one-day conference entitled “The Foundations of Evidence-Based Care: Internalizing Advancements in Addiction Treatment,” includes an all-star lineup of healthcare and addiction specialists, including a special keynote address from Dr. Keith Humphreys, Professor of Psychiatry at Stanford University School of Medicine and Career Research Scientist in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Dr. Humphreys served as one of the lead drafters of President Obama’s National Drug Control Strategy and served as a member of the overarching committee of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy that designed the President’s National HIV/AIDS Strategy.

Other speakers include James Sorensen, PhD, Professor of Psychiatry, University of San Francisco, researcher with the National Institute on Drug Abuse; Steve Tierney, EdD, CAS, the program chair of the California Institute of Integral Studies’ graduate counseling psychology concentration in Community Mental Health. He specializes in adolescent addiction issues and new therapeutic models. Also appearing Howard Kornfeld, MD – Medical Director for both Recovery Without Walls and Pain Management and Functional Restoration Clinic, Highland Hospitality, Alameda Health System. He is a member of the Clinical Faculty at UCSF School of Medicine, as well as serving as Expert Medical Reviewer, Medical Board of California. Other presenter include, Robin Stuart, MFT, Becky Kuhn, MD, Jennifer Golick, MFT, and Jody James, L.Ac.
